About

Hand-forged Damascus cuff bracelet, hammer marks left visible in the steel

Dayyam spent years at a forge before he made a single piece of jewellery. That order matters, and it is the reason everything here is hammered rather than poured.

Damascus cuff bracelet showing the forged and etched grain

A blacksmith who started making rings

Most jewellery is cast. Molten metal, poured into a mould, cooled, polished. None of this is.

Everything here is forged: heated, hammered, folded, cut and finished by hand, one piece at a time. It is a slower way to work and it leaves marks. The hammer texture on a cuff is not a pattern applied to the surface. It is the record of how the metal was moved.

Made to order, not made in advance

Nothing on this site sits in a drawer waiting.

When you order, the piece is made: in your size, with your engraving, in the width you chose. That takes one to two weeks before it ships.

It is the reason we can offer twenty-five ring sizes and a dozen materials without holding stock, and the reason we cannot ship the same day.

What we work in

Chosen for how they behave over decades, not how they photograph once.

Damascus steel, folded and etched so the grain rises out of the surface. Grade 5 titanium, brushed, sandblasted or heat-anodized until the colour grows into the oxide layer. Zirconium oxidised to a ceramic black that goes all the way through rather than sitting on top. Timascus and mokume gane, which take days rather than hours. Reclaimed superconductor filament from particle-accelerator cable. Copper, brass, silver, whiskey-barrel oak and full-grain leather.

A Damascus ring will want a wipe and a drop of oil now and then. A titanium band will not care what you do to it. Both are honest choices; they are just different ones. The care guide covers each metal properly, with a photograph of every one.

Who makes it

A small operation, deliberately kept that way.

Dayyam owns the workshop and does the forging. Muhammad Affan Shahid handles fulfilment and logistics from Cedar Park, Texas. The alternative is casting in volume, which is a different business making a different object.

We are building here so we can do the parts Etsy will not let us do: proper size guidance, real engraving proofs, and materials explained at the length they deserve. The Etsy shop stays open.

Questions before you order? Ask. A custom size, a width that is not listed, a piece in a metal you have seen elsewhere on the site. Usually the answer is yes.
