Tell us the date before you order. We check it against the forge schedule and confirm the timing before you pay.

Yes, within 2 days of ordering, before the metal is cut. Size and engraving changes are easiest in the first day or two, so message us as soon as you can.

US 4 to 16 in half sizes, which is twenty-five sizes. Quarter sizes and sizes outside US 4–16 are available as a custom order; just ask.

Measure a ring you already wear on that finger, or measure the finger with a paper strip. The ring size guide has the full chart in millimeters and guidance for measuring before you choose.

A wider band can feel tighter than a narrow one in the same size. Check your fit with a ring sizer that matches your chosen band width. Do not add a quarter or half size automatically; if you are unsure, contact us before ordering.

We forge you a new ring in the right size:

• If we sent the wrong size, it is free. We send a prepaid label and forge the correct size at no cost, shipping included.
• If the size you ordered does not fit, the new ring is half the original price, plus shipping, and you keep the original.

Carbon Damascus can, if you leave it wet. Dry it after washing your hands, keep it out of pools and the sea, and wipe it with a drop of oil now and then. Stainless Damascus and Damasteel are much more forgiving and need no oiling at all. The product page tells you which one you are looking at.

No. It is heat anodizing: an oxide layer grown on the surface with heat and current. There is nothing to chip or flake off, though the color fades slightly with time. Clean it gently with a soft cloth to keep it looking its best.

No. The surface is oxidized into a hard black ceramic, so it cannot wear through the way plating does. Like any ceramic, keep it clear of hard knocks against stone.

Titanium, zirconium and Timascus are all excellent for sensitive skin. Mokume gane contains nickel and copper, and copper can leave a harmless temporary green mark. If you have a known nickel allergy, stick to titanium or zirconium, or ask us.

Reclaimed niobium-titanium filament in a copper matrix: genuine cable from particle accelerators and MRI magnets, etched to expose the honeycomb structure inside. Supply is finite. When a billet runs out, that piece is gone.

No, engraving is currently free. On any piece we engrave you will find Add an engraving on the product page itself, just above the Add to cart button. Open it, choose where the text goes and type it in before you add to cart. We send you the layout to approve before anything is cut, so it is engraved exactly as you want it. See the engraving page.

Most of them: rings, cuffs, pens and pendants. The exceptions are bentwood and wood-inlay rings, superconductor bands and ring sets, beaded bracelets, lanyard beads and bead holders, the Time Gear charms, and the dice, where the surface does not suit a crisp cut. Ask us if you have something in mind.

In most cases, yes: a different width, a metal combination you have seen on another piece, a size outside the range, a matching set. Send us the idea.

Yes. Shipping is free to the United States and the United Kingdom. Everywhere else is a flat $30 — one rate, whatever you order and wherever you are. Import duties and VAT are a separate thing: they are set by your own country, collected by the carrier, and not included in what you pay us.

Everything is forged to order, in your size, your width, your engraving, so all sales are final.

You are fully covered all the same. If anything arrives damaged in transit or not what you ordered, tell us within 14 days of delivery with photographs and we will replace it or refund you in full, shipping included. After that, the one-year warranty below takes over. Full terms in the refund policy.

Yes: one year on every piece, from the day it is delivered. If anything goes wrong with it in that time, whatever the cause, we repair it or forge a replacement free of charge and pay the shipping both ways.
